What is little sunflower?

Little sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is a dwarf variety of sunflower that typically grows to a height of about 18-24 inches. It produces smaller, bright yellow flowers on compact plants, making it a great option for smaller gardens or containers.

Little sunflowers are easy to grow and thrive in full sun with well-drained soil. They are also drought-tolerant once established and attract pollinators like bees and butterflies.

These sunflowers can be grown from seed and will bloom in the summer to early fall. Deadheading spent flowers can encourage more blooms to form.

Little sunflowers are often used in borders, containers, or as a cut flower in bouquets. They add a cheerful pop of color to any garden and are a favorite among gardeners for their compact size and vibrant blooms.
